This organization’s outlined ambitions provide valuable context for discussing the movie “Civil War,” with a perspective notably absent in any reviews I’ve encountered so far. However, it’s worth noting that most reviewers contribute to the very issue I’ll discuss; how many of us trust “MSM movie reviewers” these days?

I left NZ after completing postgraduate studies at Otago University (BSc, MSc) in molecular biology, virology, and immunology to work in research on human genetics in Australia. While doing this work, I also had the opportunity to learn ‘cytogenetics’, the study of macro-genetics e.g., chromosomes. While in Sydney, I got married and based on my wife’s promotion, I shifted to Hong Kong to become an ex-pat. There were no genetic research roles there, so I retrained, completing an MBA in International Business (UNE). In HK I worked in FMCG, merchandising and pharmacy retail, ultimately achieving a senior role as Head of Own Label (Asia) for a company called A.S. Watson, the second-largest pharmacy retail chain in the world.
I lived for a brief time in Beijing consulting and developing the brewing industry in Asia before completing a Teaching English as a Second Language degree (CELTA, Uni. of Cambridge) in Bangkok and Roy Et, Thailand.
Shifting back to Australia I worked in retail pharmacy again while completing a Doctorate in Supply and Demand Theory (DBA, Uni. S.A.).
I was offered a job in Papua New Guinea as General Manager of a supermarket and pharmacy chain and spent the next year wondering what the next day would bring… my best achievement there was establishing medical clinics as annexes to our working sites.
Returning to NZ I have worked in business development for biotech and pharmacy retail companies and became a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
Currently, I am writing a book on “Sorting Theory” and how it applies to personal and societal development.
I speak part-time on how the world around us has improved and continues to improve despite dire warnings and temporary setbacks.
