The Devil wears PRADA” (2006) was a comedy-drama starring Meryl Streep and was loosely based on real-life Vogue Editor Anna Wintour. The title of this film could equally apply to Golriz Ghahraman.

Recently resigned Greens MP Ghahraman was caught on camera playing the Devil in Scottie’s Boutique, Ponsonby, allegedly slipping some unpaid for items into her bag pre-Christmas on the 21st and 23rd of December. But this was not a first for Golriz as there had been a similar incident at Cre8tiveworx in Wellington on October 26th. Police have now charged her with three counts of shoplifting.

This is the trouble with Marxist organisations like the Greens. Communism is for the masses but not for the elite like Golriz, who likes to throw in a bit of capitalism in the form of designer clothes. It’s called “Having your cake and eating it”.

This behaviour has been blamed on mental health issues by Golriz but, as a letter to the Herald by Mark Young stated, these mental health issues only come to the fore in exclusive shops that sell designer gear. In the same newspaper, columnist Steve Braunias opined that the Greens are definitely in the No Fun Zone. Braunias left the barbs against “Golly Gee” (Golriz) to X and Michael Wood’s Twitter account.

Golly Gee has had a good run with her “deceit”. It started years ago with the embellishment of her CV. Lying is another form of thievery because it deprives a better applicant than you from getting the job. The Greens did not do due diligence, otherwise they might have found it was full of lies. In the end, the chickens came home to roost; the Greens were forced to eat their greens and this time it was one of their own.

If Golriz is a disgraced MP, she is also a failed one. Her Electoral Strengthening Bill was drawn from the biscuit tin in May 2022. Part of this Bill was to ensure 16-year-olds and prisoners got the vote. As David Seymour of Act pointed out, this would be an ideal opportunity for leftie civic teachers to lean on their pupils. I can hardly see prisoners voting for the conservatives who put them there. Needless to say, the Bill failed on its first reading.

Golriz seems to be a friend of the Ayatollahs and terrorist groups, along with Swarbrick and the Greens, and alleges crimes have been committed by the Israeli military. She makes no mention though of proxy wars in the region by Iran.

Iran, or Persia as it was known, was not always an enemy of Israel. Cyrus encouraged the Jews to rebuild Solomon’s Temple which was destroyed by the Babylonians. The Roman legions destroyed the next one in 70 AD as prophesied by Christ.

Judea was renamed Syra-Palestina to wipe out the land’s Jewish identity by Emperor Hadrian after a revolt in AD 135. The name coincides with Israel’s arch enemy the Philistines. There were no Arabs present in the land at that time despite the propaganda to the contrary. The ancient Greeks used to refer to the whole of Israel as Palestine but it had nothing to do with the Arabs. The Greens keep claiming that the Jews are the interlopers, which is not true.

Someone on the BFD mentioned the song “Caught Stealin” by Jane’s Addiction, which topped the charts for a month in 1990. Here are a few verses.

“I’ve been caught stealin once when I was 5,
I enjoy stealin it’s as simple as that,
Oh well it’s just a simple fact when I want somethin,
Man I don’t want to pay for it
Now I walk right through the door,
And I walked right through the door,
Hey, alright if I get by,
It’s mine mine mine,
Hey!”

This is one time that Golriz didn’t get by. She was “Caught Stealin”. Jane’s addiction proved to be her addiction as well.

Never voted Labour, Greens, Act or Maori Party. Spent time overseas, mainly in the U.K. Come Judgement Day, want to say I did “something” rather than “nothing”. Love Trump. Love old movies.
