How could any honest person take a badly translated document in Maori from English and then retranslate that back to English, when the original and only official treaty document was produced in English?

The Busby document known as the Littlewood Treaty could be the perfect replacement for the treaty text. The Littlewood English document was translated from Maori by a scholar at that time who truly understood the Governor’s and administration’s wording of the treaty.

Modern Maori activists have always ignored this document, as this translation does not support the ongoing lies about the Treaty.
