On March 17, eighteen days AFTER the first COVID-19 case was discovered in New Zealand and twenty one days BEFORE total border quarantines were introduced, the PM described the first $12.1b Covid-19 response package as “the largest package she ever expected to announce as PM”. Well she was right. It was Robertson who delivered the largest package of social welfare ever announced, a staggering additional $50.1b.

It is well documented that for thirty-nine days the passengers crossing our borders were subjected to self-isolation only. The ramifications of this flawed decision generated a mind-blowing $1.59b deficit for each of the thirty-nine days of delay. It also created the need to introduce, on March 26, the economically devastating level four lockdown. Then finally, on April 9th the PM announced that every person arriving in New Zealand would have to go into compulsory quarantine, thirty-nine days after the first COVID-19 case was discovered.

Almost the entire pandemic was created by those who crossed our borders. The intervention was soft and slow. This is why the persistent chant of “hard and fast” has become an incessant cliche when facing the media. This lie had to be engrained into the minds of a gullible populace, for if the truth were explored the Government’s credibility would be blown out of the water. Yet they seem to have succeeded in this deliberate deception. The Government spent the next eight weeks attempting to put out the fires whilst the arsonist responsible was calling the shots.

It is unbelievable that the consequence of this gross mismanagement is a $61b treasure chest (with more to come) for Labour to fight the upcoming election. This bottomless overdraft is in the hands of a socialist administration which, within the guise of the COVID-19 recovery budget, will (and undoubtedly has already) targeted their voter base.

I have to admit, this Labour administration has provided a masterclass in deception.

The MSM are staring at restructuring and mass redundancies which they believe may be avoided if the original $50mil bribe is topped up with further taxpayer money. But only if they follow the Government’s narrative, so why wouldn’t they comply when their livelihoods are at stake? They, along with most New Zealanders, are now reliant on state funded social welfare. One day, I truly believe, a movie will be made which will expose the greatest fraud in New Zealand’s history.
