What has been happening to our country under lockdown isn’t new. It has been building like dry rot in a house or rust in a car for decades. Totalitarian regression dressed up as progressiveness has been rotting our society since the hippy nonsense declined from 1970 and was replaced with socialism in disguise. It has been a slow revolution of stealth.
No ranting Lenin’s on a soapbox, instead, we’ve had University students poisoned by Marxism get into positions of power later in life spreading the poison to institutions like education and both local and central Government.
Long ago Gorbachev said green was the new red and he was correct. New age Commies have collected under that banner. Look at our Green Party. All pretence at environmentalism nearly gone and their pure Stalinist face showing. The lure of socialism is astounding considering how bad it is, yet for generation after generation of no-hopers, it has a magic allure that appeals to the basic human herd think.
The Wuhan Flu has been the perfect excuse for control. Decades of climate con hogwash and propaganda was too slow or plainly not enough to scare people into submission for the student commies to gain power. Now they have.
If you’d said 30 years ago that in the future New Zealand would one day be a country where Police could intimidate you for imaginary gun ownership or expressing unapproved views, being on the street with friends, driving around or wanting a takeaway, you’d have been treated as a lunatic. If you’d said Maori vigilantes could block roads and threaten you, all with brainless Police endorsement, you’d have been told to go away. If you’d said snitching like in North Korea would be the norm and a naive student, cut lunch Socialist PM would give daily propaganda sessions and a compliant news media would coo and admire every fake phrase, you’d have been recommended for the nuthouse.
Yet here we are folks. The Neo Marxist revolution has crept into your houses and lives and you barely noticed. Now with the RMA suspended they can take your property for any lunatic infrastructure project they want. As that commie Shaw said, if we are re-elected you haven’t seen anything yet.
