As I’ve been reporting for The BFD, there’s a huge criminal case underway in Melbourne these last couple of weeks that I wasn’t able to tell you almost anything about. All I’ve been able to tell you is that an activist, who could not be named, of a certain community and a certain religion, which could not be named, was charged with the kidnapping, robbery and torture of a man, because he worked for a company owned by someone of a certain other community and a certain other religion, which could not be named.

That’s because, thanks to a Victorian judge, the alleged perpetrators could not be named, nor their photographs published. Not even their religious and cultural affiliations, or the alleged motive for their crime, could be reported.

Thanks to legal action by multiple media outlets, including Rebel News, the extraordinary blanket of secrecy has been at least partly lifted from this shocking crime.

Here’s what we were not allowed to tell you:

It can now be reported that Melbourne-based anti-Israel activist, Laura Allam, was apprehended on charges ranging from kidnapping to assault. Her alleged accomplice Mohammad Sharab can also now be named.

You may now gasp in astonishment.

The kidnapping in question is alleged to have been committed by Allam and pro-Hamas accomplices, and involved an innocent member of the public dragged off the street and bundled into a car, driven to another location and brutally beaten and subjected to what even the supine Victoria Police called “horrific kidnapping and torture.”

All this, at the hands of a supposedly upstanding member of the Muslim community, close to many left-wing politicians.

Allam is well known for her activism against Israel and is a prominent member of Australia’s Muslim-Lebanese community and reportedly has close ties to feminist activist Clementine Ford.

She allegedly has links to a range of prominent left-wing powerbrokers including Greens senators David Shoebridge, Janet Rice, Jordan Steele-John, Dorinda Cox and Mehreen Faruqi.

Allam had previously claimed to be the CEO of an Islamic relief charity named the Al Jannah Foundation. However, media investigations have revealed that the foundation ceased operations back in 2023.

Allam’s influential online presence took a significant turn following the invasion of Israel by Hamas, during which she allegedly expressed support for the attacks.

On October 8, the day following the Hamas terror attacks killed over 1200 people, Allam reportedly posted she had “woken up to some great news from our beloved Palestine.”

The arrest and the belated public revelation of the alleged criminals have sent the anti-Semitic left scrambling for cover.

Ms Allam headlined a Palestine to Parliament rally a month ago alongside three Greens senators and others.

She also has been high profile in the pro-Palestinian campaign scene in Melbourne, praising outspoken left wing writer Clementine Ford’s position on the Middle-East war.

Ms Ford has since distanced herself from Ms Allam.

Ms Allam recently posted on Instagram re Ford: “Love the girl.”
Ford responded: “I love YOU.’’

Aww, it’s the sweetest love-in since Goebbels and Hitler.

It’s also alleged that Sharab may have been involved in threats against Rebel NewsAvi Yemini, and independent journalist Rukshan Fernando.

In a chilling twist, Sharab appeared to threaten Rebel News reporter Avi Yemini and before assaulting independent journalist Rukshan Fernando as he was reporting on a City of Melbourne council meeting that had controversially tabled a ceasefire motion.

Such company the “pro-Palestine” left do keep.

Punk rock philosopher. Liberalist contrarian. Grumpy old bastard. I grew up in a generational-Labor-voting family. I kept the faith long after the political left had abandoned it. In the last decade...
