In 2020, Denmark criminalised foreign funding for mosques. In 2021, it drafted a law requiring that all sermons be translated and submitted to the state (although Anglican churches complained, it was obvious that the law targeted mosques delivering sermons in Arabic).
In France, the intelligence service Renseignements Generaux (RG) monitors 1700 mosques and Muslim places of worship. Every Friday, sermons are collected and analysed, to identify which mosques and preachers are espousing violent extremism.
The French spooks would have their work cut out, keeping up with Sydney’s mosques.
A southwest Sydney religious centre has refused to condemn a preacher who delivered a radical sermon that called on Muslims to wage jihad, declared Australia hypocritical for labelling Hamas’s massacre of innocent Israelis as terrorism and claimed Anthony Albanese had “dirtied” a mosque with “lies”.
Remember, these are the same people who set off fireworks to celebrate the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Whose preachers told cheering crowds, “I’m elated!” at the butchery perpetrated by Hamas. The people who marched with Greens politicians, chanting, “Gas the Jews!”
The poisonous source of this river of bile is clear.
“Brother Ismail” gave a sermon at Al Madina Dawah Centre in southwest Sydney after the October 7 massacre in Israel, taking aim at the Prime Minister, the government, and Islamic leaders who had criticised jihadi groups, as well as calling jihad the “solution” […]
“There is no other way to defend Muslims … they are looking forward to joining the mujahideen,” said Brother Ismail, whose full name has not been disclosed.
For once, at least, they’re not even trying to put on the “out of context” bs. And they’re making it very clear that it has everything to do with Islam.
An Al Madina Dawah Centre spokesman refused to condemn Ismail’s comments, saying Palestine’s Muslims “unequivocally” had “every right to defend themselves”.
“Our centre, and the entire Muslim community, stand by anything that is authenticity quoted from the Koran and Sunnah,” the spokesman said.
Ismail said in his sermon that those Hamas terrorists who committed the October 7 attack on Israel were not terrorists, but “freedom fighters”.
And then, of course, come the not-so-veiled threats.
“When you start labelling Muslims as terrorists, you are pushing us into a corner,” he said […] “Jihad is the solution for the Ummah (the Islamic community)…” he said […]
“(The flag) that belongs and is a symbol for ISIS and al-Qa’ida – this is the flag of the Muslims. Raise up the flag … so you die as a martyr.”

Oh, but surely that’s just one mosque. Y’know, Not All Muslims, and all that?
A Sydney mosque that vowed to “continue” to commemorate Hezbollah fighters killed in Lebanon has made good on its pledge after another service was held over the weekend as its imam also called on the NSW Premier to resign.
Masjid Arrahman – also known as Al Rahman mosque, in southwest Sydney – held a commemoration service for Hezbollah fighter Najib Muhammad Ali Zahr on Saturday.
It follows a service the week prior for another three Hezbollah militants: Taha Abbas Abbas, Ali Marmar and Hussam Ibrahim.
Last week, Hezbollah announced Ali Zahr, had died while on jihad – commemorating him for “his unwavering dedication to his jihadi duty”.

These are the people, remember, whom the Labor Party are terrified of “alienating” lest it cost them crucial votes in Western Sydney.
No wonder they were more intent on arresting Jews than in doing anything about violent extremists openly advocating genocide.
