I can’t be the only one that is sick of the wokeifying of our comic books. From turning our favourite superheroes gay, to superheroines becoming feminist girl bosses or the constant preaching of the woke agenda in the franchise. The breaking point for me was when Marvel released a Captain America comic praising the healthcare establishment and encouraging everyone to take the vaccine. What was once entertainment has now turned into another part of the mainstream media propaganda machine.

All the mainstream comic brands such as Marvel and DC used to just focus on telling a story of good versus evil, but unfortunately, the moral relativism of our modern culture has become confused and has twisted into a story of conflict between different views while still offering a impossible solutions to the ills of society. However, these mainstream comic book companies are the only ones in the market offering that sort of entertainment so it is impossible to turn away from these comic books. But it seems that comic book fans are getting turned off by the direction of these franchises, as is evident in the drop in comic book sales. The comic book community is looking for a franchise that is willing to tell good stories.

That is why one comic book fan decided to do something about it, coming up with Rippaverse. Started by Eric July, a self-described anarcho-capitalist, the Rippaverse is a new comic book franchise that promises not to betray its fan base. The Rippaverse works by the Rippaverse ethic: respecting the customer, keeping canon and continuity and a comprehensive timeline. The company has already sold more than 25,000 of its first issue. It has also begun to hire talented comic book artists such as Chuck Dixon and the Soska Sisters. The company has introduced several heroes including Isom and Yaira and a team of heroes known as Alphacore. The Rippaverse focuses on ‘Excepts’, humans who gain their powers from mysterious incidents.

Isom is a retired superhero turned rancher who is forced back into superhero life after his sister’s friend gets kidnapped. Otherwise known as Avery Sillman, he has powers including hand-to-hand combat, super strength and super durability.

Alphacore is a team of superheroes made up of Bryan Solari, Jeramya Braxwell and Ingrid Valdez. Bryan Solari has powers of superhuman strength and flight and is the leader of the team. Jeremiah Braxwell’s powers include enhanced durability, flight, speed and strength. Not much is known about Ingrid Valdez, but I’m sure we will soon find out more.

The newest character introduced is Yaira, a mysterious alien that took up residence on Earth. Not much is known apart from the fact that she may be an anti-hero. Her powers include being able to breathe in space, control ice, and fly, and she can live longer with super speed and super strength.

This is a new franchise that is slowly evolving and growing. It may not be established just yet, but it is definitely something that could take on the Marvel and DC powerhouses. This is another example of the parallel society that I have written about.

As I have written previously, if people want to fight the culture war, it will require offering an alternative to the current woke entertainment we are seeing.

With Rippaverse, we may see the end of Marvel and DC and the end of Hollywood.
