“I’m Waiting for the Man” is a song written by Lou Reed and first released by the Velvet Underground on their 1967 album “The Velvet Underground & Nico”.

It has been covered by several acts including:

Lou Reed included it on his 1975 live album “Lou Reed Live”.

The Wasps on their 1977 album “Live At The Vortex”.

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark put their spin on it as the B-side to their 1980 single “Messages”.

Charlie Harper on the 1981 album “Stolen Property”.

Georgia Satellites included a live version as the B-Side to their 1986 single “Keep Your Hands To Yourself”.

David Bowie included it on his 2008 album “Live Santa Monica 72”.
