Nothing highlights this Governments Kafkaesque behaviour more than a recent job advert for a role in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
It is for the role of Senior Analyst, Disinformation. I kid you not. It is being advertised on Trade Me and on Government websites.
We are seeking to appoint at pace a fixed term Senior Analyst whose role will be to actively monitor open source social media channels, to triage across these channels and to case-manage issues. You will work as part of a small team in DPMC and connect in with a larger cross-government networks, working to respond to, and build resilience to, disinformation in New Zealand. You will be working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have the opportunity to shape future capability development.
Let me translate that for you. The DPMC has a role for someone to monitor people like us sneaking the truth past the government’s censorship and control so they can then label it as “disinformation”.
They have realised that all of a sudden people are seeking the truth as they no longer believe the lies coming from the “Podium of Truth”.
People are sick of the sycophantic mainstream media who have become bought and paid for government shills. We really shouldn’t call them mainstream media any longer, instead, we should label them as state-funded media.
The Government is using fear and sustained propaganda to control the population. We only have to listen to the Prime Minister’s own words to confirm that.
It seems that the Government is using 1984 as a guidebook and all the musings of Josef Goebbels, the infamous Minister of Propaganda for the Nazi regime, as hard and fast rules for governing the masses.
If the Government is using 1984 as a manual then I too can use it to neutralise their plans and quote George Orwell too: “In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
We know we are in a time of deceit because the government is drowning us with sustained propaganda about vaccines being essential (they’re not), how brilliant their rollout has been (worst in the OECD) and how their Covid response has been perfect (far from it); now they are hiring staff for the DPMC to monitor and ultimately discredit those of us who seek the truth and who aren’t blindly following their every edict or utterance.
Take the oft-repeated phrase that the delta variant is “deadly”. It is not. There are no large bodies of facts that support that claim. In the UK almost no one is dying from delta and the same applies to Israel. Delta also proves the lie that the vaccine works. It clearly doesn’t. Yet this Government keeps on promulgating the lie.
The BFD does not receive even a cent of Government money, nor will we ever. We value our independence too much to prostitute ourselves for a few propaganda dollars. We do not receive, nor will we ever receive, Government grants or subsidies. We will not submit ourselves to their controls.

If you believed Nicky Hager then I am probably the only person qualified to apply for that role in the DPMC.
But I would never get a look-in because the very first thing I would examine would be the Ministry of Health for their suppression of the deaths from the vaccine. Then their refusal to allow antibody testing, followed by their suppression of ivermectin data and information regarding its success in places like India and Indonesia.
Then I’d look at the government’s own role in spreading disinformation every day from the “Podium of Truth” and their refusal to acknowledge that delta is not what they have told us it is.
They wouldn’t like the truth bombs I’d be delivering if I were in that role. So I won’t be.
The government can’t handle the truth; that’s why they are using the strong arm of the law and journalists acting as snitches, and hiring people to discredit alternative media.
Jacinda Ardern may well be establishing her own Ministry of Propaganda but all that shows is her inherent totalitarian streak and that it isn’t that far below her facade of “kindness”.
