  1. Considering that there are 1,239 confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases in New Zealand of which 98% are linked to overseas travel, could that suggest that the claim that you went hard and early with regards to border control was neither correct nor effective?
  2. Why, having made the declaration that as of midnight 14 March all cruise ships were banned from coming to New Zealand, were the cruise ships “Ruby Princess” and “Celebrity Solstice” allowed to continue their itinerary beyond this deadline and discharge passengers in Wellington, Napier, Akaroa and Dunedin, resulting in the spread of the virus?
  3. The platform on which you hold your daily update has a backdrop claiming “Unite Against COVID-19”. Yet there is a very distinct absence of visible political unity when the only account of the effectiveness of the intervention is delivered by yourself and the occasional guest appearances by other members of the Labour Cabinet. Has it ever occurred to you that there is a large audience out there who would be interested in the views of other Parties, who at your request, are also allies in the unity against COVID-19?
  4. In the absence of all other political opinions, could it be suggested that your management of the daily updates may be interpreted as a stage-managed Labour Party political broadcast?
  5. Why has the Epidemic Response Committee of the New Zealand Parliament been excluded from the live daily briefings? This committee was established to consider matters relating to the Government’s management of the COVID-19 epidemic.
  6. As their findings have influenced a number of your decisions, would it not be in the spirit of openness and transparency to have them report to the public as to the effectiveness of your party’s strengths and weaknesses regarding the interventions?
  7. With the paralysing of the economy, the devastation of livelihoods and the populace experiencing life under an aggressive political decree, with police control and with the armed forces on standby, could it be considered an overreaction when during the period of lockdown only two deaths have been associated with the virus yet eight deaths have been reported on our roads?
  8. Why do you continuously suggest that New Zealand would have become another Italy or Spain if not for your interventions when clearly under normal circumstances the virus would have been intercepted and managed without a politician in sight?
  9. Why do you continuously refer to “models” of worst case scenarios as templates in identifying the magnitude of the success of your intervention when in reality they are works of fiction?
  10. Do you think it is time you took your own advice on mental wellbeing and sought therapeutic counselling regarding your relentless desire to be seen by a worldwide audience as the saviour of a nation?
