The Great Reset rolls on. Europe is already at the “forced collectivisation” stage — with New Zealand and Australia not far behind.

Almost as if they’re operating to a plan, left-wing governments on both sides of the Tasman are following the exact template laid out in the Netherlands. “Cow taxes” are just the start: the next step is liquidating entire herds and seizing farms.

How soon they start liquidating the Kulaks is anyone’s guess.

Australia is set to pledge its support to reduce global methane emissions by 30 per cent by 2030.

The move is in contrast to the former Coalition government, which refused to sign up to the target, which is already supported by the United States and the European Union.

Despite their spinelessness on nearly every other front of the Great Reset, the Morrison government occasionally grew a backbone.

At the time, the then-deputy prime minister suggested the methane commitment would see farmers being forced to kill their cattle.

“The only way you can get your 30 per cent by 2030 reduction of methane on 2020 levels would be to grab a rifle and go out and shoot your cattle,” Barnaby Joyce said in October last year.

At that time, the decision not to sign on to the pledge was publicly supported by the Labor opposition.

Don’t expect any such fortitude from Labor in government, which is fully committed to the Great Reset project. They’re already demolishing Australia’s energy infrastructure, and farmers don’t vote Labor, so smashing the agricultural sector is no problem for them.

Now in government, Labor Agriculture Minister Murray Watt said he supported the target.

Just coincidentally, the government’s chief adviser on agricultural policy is a far-left activist who condemns mainstream farming as “inherently cruel”. “Animal cruelty is a day-to-day part of farming practices,” she claims.

Other former government advisers have been linked to the activist groups who stage raids on Australian farmers.

But it’s all totally coincidental, no doubt. Nothing to see here.

Just as happened in Sri Lanka, all these “environmental” and “climate” policies will sound very well on paper. It’ll be a different matter, though, when food prices soar even higher than they already have.

Nationals leader and shadow agriculture minister David Littleproud said signing on to the pledge would drive up the cost of meat in Australia.

“We do not want to see the Aussie BBQ available to only the rich – we urge Labor to reject the methane madness idea and embrace the Aussie BBQ spirit instead of destroy it.”
