After following the recent witch hunt on the Christian College I think it is high time to unpack the sack, come out of the closet, and ‘dress’/address the audience – the school audience, that is.

Fact: Christian schools are overt in what they teach, unlike the hidden curriculum in the secular State schools. What is happening during assemblies in our education centres, on the playgrounds, and in the curriculum?

While many NZ schools are diligently following the curriculum to teach our children literacy and numeracy, some schools have embraced a new age doctrine of academia, that of gendemia. But wait, you say, that’s a made-up word. Welcome to the decade of a new language medium. He/him/her/she replaced by they/them/ze and zim; or depart from the old-school homosexual and heterosexual identity to terms like agender, pansexual, cisgender, omnisexual, two-spirited.

All were considered to be personality disorders just a decade ago. Apparently there are now at least 45 terms that are essential to know; if you don’t, you will be accused of not displaying inclusivity.

During Pride week in 2021, a Christchurch high school chose to put on a drag show. That’s certainly what it sounded like in the video that a year 11 student leaked. The student was not impressed at having to sit through a Pride assembly, where two boys pranced about on stage in all their glitter and sequins while teaching staff encouraged the students to shout applause at the celebration of ‘coming out’.

Is this what you send your children to school for – conversion therapy out of the closet and into the playgrounds? Is no space safe or off limits to special interest groups? Labour’s child indoctrination is on display in the Ministry of Education.  Many, many parents and even high school students have contacted me with their concerns over the radical sexual agenda that dominates the politics in the school environment.

The increase of sexuality and identity education, under the guise of ‘relationship education’ and under the umbrella of ‘inclusivity’, has created a very anxious cohort of our young. Our young, who should be protected, now have their identity, their very foundation pulled out from under them because of the ideology pushed down their throats.

In one education document, it states, “Sexuality education has its own language and students ‘need’ to engage with this language…”

There is a consequence to all this over-the-top diversity and over-exposure to sexuality in our schools. We have students strolling around the school yard identifying as lesbians, gay, trans, and gender nonbinary while most of their parents are unaware.

Our children are not state-owned enterprises or experimental pawns for sexual perverts.

Included here is one lesson. I will leave you to ponder just how many family-orientated, moral questions this lesson raises.

I call for the protection of all our children, in the community, in media, and especially in our education system. As Co-leader of the New Conservative Party, I will bring legislation to Parliament that ensures we have better protections for children that safeguard against exploitation of the innocence of our most vulnerable.
