We’ve long been used to corrupt, third-world regimes run by ageing dictators hiding in Presidential Palaces behind walls, barbed wire and ranks of carefully-vetted troops. Naturally, one of the first acts of the Biden administration was to do exactly all of the above.

Even before Joe Biden was inaugurated as President, the Democrat-run congress had large swathes of Washington firmly barricaded behind concrete and razor wire. The streets were patrolled by armoured cars and heavily-armed troops who had been rigorously scrutinised to ascertain their loyalty to el Presidente.

Idi Amin couldn’t have asked for better.

Just to make sure, they’re doing it all again. Because, y’know, truckers.

Fencing will be reinstalled around the Capitol’s grounds as part of ramped-up security ahead of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, given the potential threat of a truck-convoy protest similar to those in Canada, a new report says.

“Threat” meaning… they’ll honk their horns until they’re asked to stop, at which point they’ll politely do so — like the Canadian truckers?

The Great American Patriot Project, a group of US trucker convoys inspired by the weeks-long demonstrations in Canada, have been forming protests against COVID-19-related restrictions and vaccine mandates in several American cities. The group has encouraged truck drivers to join three convoys to Washington, DC, next month.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has downplayed the impact of the potential demonstrations during Biden’s address, saying earlier this month that “everybody can peacefully protest.”

You know, like the “peaceful protests” of BLM and Antifa, who put historic buildings in Washington to the torch while they rioted.

But these aren’t left-wing rioters. So the Democrat regime is ringing the Capitol with a seven-foot-high fence.

Just to show how in touch with the people they are, no doubt.

The added fencing and truck-protest monitoring won’t be the only precautionary measures for Biden’s speech.

During his first State of the Union address, all 535 members of Congress will be able to attend — but won’t be allowed to bring guests inside the Capitol and will also be required to wear high-quality masks throughout the event, according to guidance released Thursday by the legislative branch’s physician.

Attendees will also have to submit a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours of the event, according to a memo from Dr. Brian Monahan.

Here’s hoping it’s administered rectally. Do unto the politicians as they’ve done unto the country, after all.
