On Monday, many health and education employees and contractors will work their last day in their chosen career.

I have friends and colleagues in health who are leaving, including a Maori midwife, a rural GP and a cardiac sonographer. These are roles that health has always crawled over broken glass to try and fill, and those who filled them have been championed for bringing much-needed skills and services to our people.

This leaves me with a number of questions:

How can I trust my health to an industry that demands total compliance from its employees with no respect for their personal safety or right to body sovereignty?

How can I trust my health to an industry that is so determined to make scapegoats of the unvaccinated for the spread of Covid when there is clear evidence showing similar and higher case rates for vaccinated compared to unvaccinated, and very marginally different hospitalisation rates/deaths? (UK Health Security Agency Covid Reports – rates per 100,000)

Latest four week period to week 45 – 12 November 2021

How can I trust my health to an industry that drives the falsehood that the unvaccinated spread Covid like rats with the plague, that discriminates against unvaccinated patients in their GP practices, alongside providers who refuse to provide first assessments, treatment and follow ups?

How can I trust my health to an industry that claims that someone who died from a gunshot wound is a Covid death?

How can I trust my health to an industry that does not acknowledge the adverse effects and deaths following the rolling out of Covid vaccines, and actively blocks the recording of adverse event data, medical support, and the registering of ACC claims for vaccine victims?

How can I trust my health to an industry that expressly went against a vaccine order enabling workers to get exemptions from the vaccine mandate and drove changes to this order within two weeks which then excluded many previously eligible for exemption?

How can I trust my health to an industry that blocks proven early treatment options and fails to provide health improvement advice e.g. Vitamin C and D, zinc, and exercise?

How can I trust my health to an industry that bribes people with money and KFC to take the vaccination?

How can I trust my health to an industry that continues to blindly push the ‘one source of truth’, when so much evidence stacks up against it?

And how on earth do I continue to work in this industry alongside the people who have ensured the loss of employees, the denial of patient and employee rights and the promotion of discrimination?
