Jacinda Ardern lied to us when she claimed that the Countdown terrorist subscribed to an ideology that no one else in New Zealand held. She knew it was a lie then and she knows it is a lie now.

For a start, there are around 50 other people just like Ahamed Aathill Mohamed Samsudeen on the terror watch list.

Then there is this rather uncomfortable news out of the North Shore District Court on Friday:

An Auckland man has been charged with threatening to kill members of the “Auckland community who were non-Muslims”.

The 19-year-old man is alleged to have committed the offence between July and September 7, 2021.

The charge carries a maximum of seven years in prison.

He also faces two charges of supplying or distributing an objectionable publication, having reasonable cause to believe that the publication is objectionable, on August 5.

If convicted on the objectionable publications charges, he could face a maximum of 14 years behind bars.

The man first appeared in the North Shore District Court on Thursday.

He reappeared on Friday in front of Judge Clare Bennett, who granted the man interim name suppression until Tuesday.

His lawyer, Peter Syddall, argued if he was named his family could be endangered, given the Auckland terror attack at LynnMall Countdown last week.

Name suppression was opposed by Stuff and NZME.

The man has been remanded in custody to reappear in court later in September.

So, it turns out there ARE others who subscribe to the terrorist’s ideology…and Ardern lied.
