Do you trust The Spinoff and their polling company Stickybeak?
Already we know that The Spinoff has received money from the government by way of subscriptions, NZ on Air and Creative NZ. Almost 2 and a half MILLION dollars from NZ on Air alone.

In the last week, The Spinoff has conducted polls, such as yesterday’s, that back the government’s actions.

Exclusive poll: Seven out of 10 back NZ sticking with elimination strategy

The polling is based on social media and in this case 629 respondents.

Respondents were self-selecting participants, recruited via Facebook and Instagram. A total of n=629 sample was achieved of adults in New Zealand. Results in this report are weighted by age, gender and region to statistics from the 2018 Census

This is where it gets interesting as one of the founders and researchers is David Talbot who just happens to be “one of New Zealand’s best known researchers and is an advisor to the New Zealand Labour Party and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Also one of the research partners of Stickybeak is UMR, which is the polling company of the Labour Party.
