Warning

The advice given in this article is anecdotal and makes no claim of clinically proven medical benefits.

There are certain characteristics in men that change as we get older and one of them is to do with the prostate gland. Every one of us stale males should be having regular screening of PSA levels and the occasional more invasive examination.

Anyway, as a part of this process it was noted that my PSA levels were rising above the safe zone so I was scheduled for an MRI. The result was that they found that I had a larger prostate than normal, which gives rise to higher PSA levels and, although they could not detect any tumours, I was sent off for a biopsy.

I must say that the government provides all this for free and the way it was handled was all very efficient. No complaints at all.

That said, the biopsy procedure is not one I would readily line up for again; having multiple holes punched in your prostate through your bowel wall is not fun. But three weeks later the results were back: All clear! Great news: no malignancy, no prostate cancer.

About that time my wife was at a presentation where a product was offered that could help PSA levels so she purchased one and I began taking half a teaspoon a day in my morning coffee.

So far I have not had my next PSA test so cannot say whether or not it has had any effect on those levels BUT …

No longer are there nocturnal visits to the loo to achieve not very much and so my wife is happy with not having her sleep disturbed.

There was another issue that also affected her: my get it up and go had often got up and gone and that was less than satisfying for her as well.

There is now no need to consider obtaining any little blue pills, everything is working exceedingly well. Such fun!

Now, I could sell you a three month course of this wonder drug for only $99.95+p&p and after your second repeat order you will get six steak knives for the price of ten, absolutely free!

Or you could simply buy it for $10 a bottle from happy horizons.

While I have no connection with these people, I have met and talked to the chemist behind it all and had a fascinating discussion with her. She does not appear to be a snake-oil pushing crank.

The product does not appear to be listed on their website, I have no idea why, but if you want to give this a try, here is what you need to ask for when you contact them.

It is an extremely low-cost way of keeping your wife happy.
