For 60 years, John Lilley says he has been bringing magic into people’s lives – and plans to continue doing so for as long as he can.
At 78, Lilley is the last working film projectionist in New Zealand who has no plans of ending his career.
“The world needs magic now more so than ever, and I will carry on sharing the magic of film for as long as I can keep going,” Lilley said.
“Retirement is just a dirty word. I don’t have blood in my veins, I have projector oil.”
