Yesterday’s view was of The Dez Dam, near Dezful, SW Iran. The photo was taken January 1990. For the sharp of eye, AA installations can be seen around the dam. This was just after the Iran Iraq war and the photo was taken from a United Nations aircraft that a reader was piloting.
