When a white woman pulls a gun on a black woman, it is viewed twelve million times on twitter with the usual outrage of ranting racial indignation. There were conflicting accounts of the event but never-the-less “white woman is a racist”. It was only a couple weeks ago that a black man historically invaded a white pregnant woman’s home, held a gun to her pregnant stomach while his offsider ransacked her house. He died a sainted hero because his life mattered.
This brings me to the point where I have to ask the questions (as it appears only black lives matter), at what point do you declare yourself black? Is anyone not of European extraction black? Are Asians black? Are those from the Middle East black? Apparently so. At what shade of beige do you have to be to before your life matters? At what point do you qualify to experience offence?
Two of the whitest blacks in Parliament, Marama Davidson and Golriz Ghahraman (self declared people of colour) have set the bar pretty low. To dislike them may suggest I’m racist. But in fairness I dislike the white Julie-Anne Genter and Chloe Swabrick with equal vigour, and quite frankly I don’t give a stuff about any of their lives. Having said that, I do have an active prejudice against anyone who declares themselves green, and if that is racist, then I’m guilty.
Diversity is a buzz word that requires one to consider the need to declare appointments based on colour or race. By abiding by this expectation one cannot be accused of being prejudiced nor racist, just stupid. Labour’s deputy leader and the Green’s co- leader are a classic examples of stupidity. The need to be competent is only superseded by stupidity.
But returning to whose lives matter. Good people’s lives matter the rest can go to hell. Billy T James’s life mattered to me Hone Harawira’s life not so much. Baby’s lives matter, baby bashers lives don’t. Police lives matter, police killers don’t. I could go on and on but I would imagine most of you get the drift.
As long as socialists continue to marginalise and patronise non-whites the longer the racism sore will fester. Non-whites will never experience equality as long as socialism is active. Socialism will never allow the consequences of stupidity to impact on those of colour. To do so would be a representation of equality and socialism would never allow that. And this is why we have Ardern as PM. Yes she is white, but she is living proof that stupidity is colour blind.
