A recently finalised and published Ipsos Global Mobility Navigator Syndicated Study, interviewed 20,000 consumers worldwide on their opinions on alternative engines and what it would take to get them to consider one.

Apparently environmental concerns are not necessarily translating into BEV sales. (Battery electric vehicles).

The Ipsos Global Mobility Navigator Syndicated Study discovered there are three main barriers towards BEV ownership for consumers:

  • Overall cost
  • Range
  • Charging location stations (or lack thereof).

I wonder how much this brilliant insight cost?

An interesting observation from this study is that, among those seriously considering a BEV, 37% believe the external design should be different than the gas version of the vehicle.

Otherwise, no one will know that you are driving a smugmobile.
