I was watching a recent select committee hearing at Parliament and stumbled across an interesting exchange where an Act Party MP, Toni Severin, was discussing vaping with Ayesha Verral the Deputy Health Minister. Watch from 7:21m below:

Who would ever have thought that an MP from the party that espouses individual choice and freedom would take such a doctrinaire and nanny state approach to a topic such as vaping?

I think she was making a good fist of trying to be a National Party MP rather than a libertarian Act MP.

What do you think?
