On Saturday there was a large Freedom protest around the country that saw thousands of freedom lovers hit the streets. The BFD had a roving photographer at the Auckland Freedom Protest:

An estimated crowd of up to 5000 people is marching through central East Auckland streets brandishing freedom signs, flags and blocking traffic. 

Police officers and vehicles are on Khyber Pass Rd, Newmarket, trying to safely escort the massive protest as they blare their message over a megaphone. 

The crowd has been seen marching down Khyber Pass Rd after travelling from the Auckland Domain where they have congregated this morning for the third freedom protest there in six weeks. 

Police have been supervising the rally in strong numbers as music and speakers took the stage.
