Smokefree 2025 is a term that comes to prominence in the media from time to time. It sounds like a goal to eliminate smoking tobacco in New Zealand. It actually isn’t. The goal is to reduce the number of current smokers below 5% of the population, though not current smokers in general. Unsurprisingly this ridiculous goal, which has attacked liberty in so many ways, is riddled with identitarianism as a result of being led by the Maori party during the second term of the previous National government.
