As can be read from Jeremy Corbyn’s bewildered response to his suspension from the British Labour Party for at the very least tolerating and covering up endemic anti-Semitism in the party, the left simply cannot comprehend that anyone could be left-wing and racist. After all, the left are the “good guys”. And racism is bad, mmkay? So, the leftist logic goes, to be left-wing is to be intrinsically anti-racist.

At least, if you ignore that so many leftists are blatantly racist. If they’re not treating black people as if they’re somewhat “slow” children – such as when the whiter-than-white Chelsea Handler took it upon herself to remind 50 Cent that he is, in fact, black – they’re hating their fellow whites with all the fury of a Klansman. But that’s not racist, they say, because you can’t be racist against white people (which is an intrinsically racist argument).

As for anti-Semitism, every good leftist knows that’s a “far-right” thing.
Which makes it kinda weird that there’s so much anti-Semitism on the left. Not just the establishment left parties like British Labour, but in America’s most left-wing cities, such as New York, where a series of random attacks on Jews recently claimed renowned comic Rick Moranis.

Then there’s America’s overwhelmingly left-wing college campuses.

Several students recently filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education alleging that the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign created an “anti-Semitic hostile environment.”

According to a press release by the Louis D. Brandeis Center, which serves to “advance the civil and human rights of the Jewish people,” the students have faced an “unrelenting campaign of anti-Semitic harassment,” and that the university has “allowed a hostile environment to proliferate on its campus in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.”

The complaint alleges that Jewish and pro-Israel students have experienced an “alarming increase” in anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist related attacks over the past five years.

A summary of the complaint posted by the Brandeis Center lists 23 instances of alleged anti-Semitism that have occurred since 2015.

In Australia, too, universities are fast becoming sinkholes of anti-Semitism. Sydney University, the “peace university”, praises a Jew-killing terrorist on the cover of its student magazine. A USyd academic is filmed screaming abuse and waving money at an old Jewish lady (one of his fellow academics attacked the inquiry into the incident as an “inquisitorial investigation” by, y’know, the Joos).

Jeez, dunno why Jewish students at USyd say that they feel unsafe on the campus.

Still, they can take some comfort that Sydney isn’t as bad as American colleges.

Some instances listed by the complaint include swastikas found on campus; Jewish ritual items, such as menorahs and mezuzahs, have been stolen and vandalized, and windows of Jewish fraternities have been smashed.

In one instance, at a “mandatory diversity training session” in 2019, a presentation implied that the “very existence of a Jewish state was a racist endeavor.”

[…]”On October 14, 2020, the Jewish and pro-Israel ISG Senator discussed above announced her resignation from the ISG Senate, as a direct result of the persistent harassment that she received from her fellow ISG Senators on the basis of her Jewish and Zionist identity[…]

The complaint also calls out the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter on campus for glorifying terrorist organizations and harassing Jewish and pro-Israel students by calling them “nazi” and “white supremacist.”

I’ll leave readers to ponder the irony of Jew-haters calling anyone else a “Nazi”.

“Being a Jew at UIUC comes with immense hate and hostility” [student Ian] Katsnelson said. “First, as a senator on student government, I’ve experienced shocking examples of anti-Semitism firsthand. I’ve been called a genocide supporter, a white supremacist, and harassed; all for being publicly Jewish. And all of this in front of the administration-who did nothing. Second, as a student, I’ve seen the effect that the hostility has on my friends-they’re afraid to wear Jewish stars, Hebrew writing, or even Jewish Greek letters.”

Still, you have to have some sympathy for the anti-racist leftists. It’s getting so they can’t even bash a Heeb without being called “anti-Semitic”.

The very idea! They’re leftists, after all.
