Dear Editor

The last leaders’ debate had PM Ardern saying “I would never stand here and call someone a liar!”

Well, that sounds definite, doesn’t it? But remember 3 years ago, Ardern called Bill English a “Liar” three times at the leaders’ debate and he was later shown to be correct.  Even the only economist that sort of supported her not having a fiscal hole in her budget, admitted that he had been wrong.

So she lied about lying.

This is how a delusional leader begins to think she can never do anything wrong even if she does. Of course, the government has halved the number of children in poverty despite the UN recently lowering our ranking on helping children in poverty. Of course, she has built more homes in three years because the sites were cleared and prepared by National for redevelopment.  Ardern still criticises National for removing the old single homes on large sections for multiple new homes.

Every problem has been “marvellously” solved but she “absolutely knows” that there is more to do. That phrase only came after 4-5 different election promises were not kept.  She might know that there is more to do, but she doesn’t have a clue on how to do it.  She even praised herself and her Coalition Government saying that they always do something if they find it is not working or it has not been done properly. Tell that to a plumber or a gas fitter!

There is no better example of the need for politicians to make quality and knowledgeable decisions.  As Sowell has said, “There is no need for a person to get it right when the cost of getting it wrong is paid by somebody else.”  This clearly must be Labour’s mantra for their cabinet.
