Recently I named the Labour Party as the most racist political party in New Zealand. I accused them of being racist for ensuring unequal access to healthcare by prioritising one race over another.

I am referring of course to DHBs and race-based criteria for surgery waiting lists. Patients who are Maori or Pasifika get more points allocated to them than anyone who is not one of those two races.

This is not the first time this year that the Labour Party have treated one race better than others when it comes to healthcare. In March this year the government allocated $56-million COVID-19 related, race-based funding.

Yesterday the Maori Party released their policy for COVID-19 recovery and it puts them in the running for the title of New Zealand’s most racist party.

I shouldn’t be surprised of course that a race-based party has produced racist policies. After all, if a Pakeha Party was formed the MSM would accuse it of racism from dawn till dusk. Only in New Zealand are politically correct blinders put on to prevent anyone from stating the obvious, that a race-based party is inherently racist as it is about promoting the welfare of only one section of New Zealand society over the welfare of everyone else.

The racist policy that the Maori Party released yesterday is called Maori Families First. Oh wait… it is called “Whanau First” but given the policy details, it is in reality 100% Maori Families First. It can’t get any more racist than that. Imagine if a Pakeha Party released a policy that was called Pakeha Families First. It would be torn to shreds for putting the welfare of Pakeha Whanau (families) ahead of the needs of families of other races.

New Zealand is supposed to be about equality where we are are all judged by the content of our character not the colour of our skin. We should all be treated equally yet the Maori Party has released a policy that is 100% about discrimination.

Of course they don’t use the word discrimination because that would make the racism of their policy too obvious.

Maori Party announce Whanau First policy on COVID-19 economic recovery

The Whanau First policy demands Maori equity and equality in COVID-19 economic recovery. The policy, modelled off affirmative action programmes overseas, will help reverse decades of discrimination and disadvantage.

“Affirmative action” is a euphemism for discrimination. The use of the word “equity” is also a warning sign that there is racist policy ahead. Equality means equal treatment but equity is a completely different animal as equity demands unequal treatment.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted major racism and inequity that impacts on wellbeing and the ability to feed our whanau,” said John Tamihere.

The Maori Party are using the economic crisis caused by Ardern’s government as an excuse to try to justify more discriminatory and unequal treatment of New Zealanders.

People from all walks of life from every racial group in New Zealand have lost their jobs or businesses this year. To claim that one race is more important than others and that equal treatment is unacceptable is blatantly racist.

“There was no government Maori pandemic response plan. Maori leadership across the country stood up and filled this gap, led out by hapu, iwi and Whanau Ora Collectives up and down the country. Our own mana motuhake systems proved themselves,” said Mr Tamihere.

Here we have a political party promoting an apartheid system while at the same time proudly endorsing Maori groups breaking the law.

They are insinuating that the law doesn’t apply to Maori and that they should have special treatment above and beyond what every other race receives during a pandemic. That is Maori supremacy. That is hardcore racism.

“Maori as tangata whenua demand that our right to equality and equity be applied in all post- COVID recovery programming and funding,” said Debbie Ngarewa-Packer.

You cannot have both equality AND equity as equity is the opposite of equality. Equality is giving us both a glass of water. Equity is giving me a half a glass of water and you, one and a half glasses of water because you weigh twice my weight and are more thirsty than me after we both ran around the block.

“If we are to ensure the COVID-19 recovery period improves the situation for our people rather than worsens it, then it’s essential that we stop government’s systemic racism and put in place policies that put our Whanau First.

And there we have it. Hardcore racists calling the government racist if they do not agree to Maori Supremacy. They should be laughed out of town for such a ridiculous claim. After all how would Ardern react if a Pakeha Party demanded Pakeha supremacy and called the government racist if she didn’t agree to discriminate against all non-Pakehas in order to advance the interest of Pakeha?

Three of the demands from the most racist political party in New Zealand are below:

• Confirm that all government funding for projects over the next two years guarantee 25% Maori direct resourcing combining the delivery of a Maori workforce and the services of owned businesses and organisations.

• Confirm that 25% of all projects will be Maori-led recovery projects and business recovery initiatives that partner with hapu, iwi and Maori organisations and Maori-led businesses.

• Guarantee that 25% of all government projects that are prioritised through the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) legislation partner with hapu, iwi and Maori organisations and businesses.
