The Minister of Police, Stuart Nash, has announced the disbanding of police. They are to be replaced by a confederation of gangs rebranded as ‘Community Enablers’.

“The gangs did a great job manning roadblocks and generally keeping order in their communities during the lockdown. They showed ‘real progressive leadership'”, he said. The beauty of the concept is that it will be self funding, allowing Jacinda to spend money wisely elsewhere.

Also, he said, as another cost cutting exercise, prisons will be emptied to boost the numbers of Community Enablers. The prisons will not remain empty, however, as they are to be re-purposed as compulsory re-education centers for conservatives, right wingers and the politically incorrect (user pays of course). “This government knows how to be fiscally prudent”, he said.

The spokesperson for the National Party, Nikki Kaye, thought it was a move in the right direction and another example of Jacinda Ardern’s excellent leadership and management of the country.
