Laughter Is the Best Medicine

As our BFD community enters a period of isolation it is important to have a good laugh every day.

This regular daily post is the place to joke about the Kung Flu and banish negative thoughts. I well remember the awesome Christchurch Kiwis who held a competition for the best outdoor loo after the earthquake.

No doubt in the days to come we will come up with our own silly ways to share our new reality with each other.

Let’s take it one day at a time dear readers and keep our spirits high. We will support each other through this.

By now, some of you may have seen a celeb-packed cover of John Lennon’s song “Imagine.” Its uplifting lyrics were meant to encourage and uplift listeners during the COVID-19 crisis.

Some comedians, however, have gotten together to mock it after the original video experienced backlash from viewers who felt patronized by rich celebrities singing to them instead of doing something practical such as donating money to people who’ve lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic.
