Have you heard about the massive, deadly riots in Delhi over the past weeks? If you’re getting your news from the legacy media, almost certainly not. If at all, you’ve probably been told that, yet again, it’s the poor, helpless Muslims being persecuted again. Oh, and it’s somehow Trump’s fault, too. After all, that’s the line HuffPo, the Guardian and the BBC have all been peddling. “Targeted anti-Muslim brutality”, screeches the Guardian.
Yet a quick survey of the death toll shows an almost equal number of Muslim and Hindu victims, which certainly suggests that the violence has been very far from one-sided. As do certain other facts that the Western legacy media aren’t so keen to report. In fact, the legacy media are determined to obscure the truth even about the proximate cause of the riots, the Citizenship Amendment Act [CAA].

That’s partially true. Gulf News is closer when it says that “the Citizenship Amendment Act allows for the fast-tracking of applications from religious minorities including Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, but not Muslims.” Why would these religious minorities be given preferential treatment? Because they are being persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. Who is persecuting them? Muslims.

Unlike Western nations, which responded to the Muslim genocide of Yezidi communities by prioritising…Muslims, and resolutely refuse to even acknowledge the genocide of whites in rural South Africa, India is actually prioritising the victims. But Islam is notorious for its glass jaw: Muslims are always the real victims.
Reporting on just the sort of Muslim violence that prompted the Citizenship Amendment Act, NDTV reporter Sreenivasan Jain was more concerned that news of a Muslim mob attacking a Sikh temple might somehow make Muslims look bad.
But, in case anyone is about to start believing their lyin’ eyes, the legacy media are always on hand with the fake news.

Never fear, the legacy media are here to fix the narrative. Presto! The mosque and its arsenal are scrubbed from public scrutiny.
The Muslim “victims” certainly seem to have been well prepared for all kinds of violence.

Still, there is no denying that violence has affected both Muslims and Hindus almost equally. But the Western legacy media have endlessly trumpeted the former, while completely ignoring the latter – including some truly horrific crimes.

Muslim rioters also allegedly molested girls returning home from school. The English in the following report is a little clunky, so it seems “torn to pieces” here probably refers to the girls’ clothes, rather than the girls themselves. Or so it’s to be hoped.
Sushma (name changed), the mother of an aggrieved girl, told that about eight or nine girls from the neighbourhood were coming home from a coaching centre[…] girls studying in Classes VI to VIII were torn to pieces and physically molested.

As the evidence shows, the violence is very far from one-sided. But the legacy media is only telling one side of the story.
Muslims aren’t the only perpetrators – but they aren’t the only victims, either.
The legacy media need to stop lying and just tell the whole truth. No matter how much it offends their prejudices.
