On RNZ last week, Simon Bridges made the astonishing admission that he would reverse our ban on the purchase of Kiwi housing from foreign buyers.

Sales of Kiwi housing to overseas buyers dropped by 81 per cent, compared to figures before the ban was set in place.

In December 2019, 39,000 homes changed hands that year, with a mere 147 going to overseas buyers who were not caught by the Foreign Buyers ban.

We put in the ban to ensure we had more housing for kiwi buyers, at a time when New Zealand home ownership was seriously dropping.

Under National you would see thousands of houses going to foreign landlords.

I am confident that our viewers will critique the content’s effectiveness in the comments.
