Once again, the car-crash spectacle that is the left eating its own serves up another round of can’t-look-away carnage.

Last month, it was leftier-than-thou novelist J. K. Rowling getting worked over by the rainbow mob for daring to suggest that – gasp! – facts of biology mattered more than the feelings of men in dresses. Now, horror novelist Stephen King – previously distinguished by the relish with which he described an under-aged gang bang – is getting sledge-hammered by his erstwhile Twitter cronies.

King’s crime? Committing the shocking heresy of championing quality in art.

King tweeted earlier in the day that he “would never consider diversity in matters of art.”

“It seems to me that to do otherwise would be wrong,” he added.

Typically, his most vicious detractors are the nobodies and wannabes.

A Muslim activist and artist weighed in on a controversy surrounding diversity in the arts by lamenting that she’d been unable to get anyone to publish her children’s book about Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Gee, I wonder why? It couldn’t be because it’s a piece of crap about a hateful anti-Semite? Naw, has to be a white man’s conspiracy!

Tarapolsi slammed King for his “white privilege” and said she’d been unable to find a publisher for her “quality children’s book on Ilhan Omar” last summer.

The “struggle” to get her book published was “painful,” Tarapolsi revealed, and ultimately fruitless.

Welcome to being a writer, kid.

“You have zero idea how to live in my world, where I can’t even find one book like this for my child,” she added.

Well, I mean, even a neo-Nazi could buy a copy of Mein Kampf for their bouncing baby untermenschen. Why shouldn’t there be a children’s story about America’s favourite anti-Semite?

Of course, no leftist clown-show is complete without the standard white worm lacking any semblance of self-awareness or irony.

“Sir, respectfully saying you as a white man can’t really say that,” tweeted David Weissman, an American screenwriter who also happens to be white […]

King’s take was likely particularly disappointing to progressive Twitter users given his reliably left-wing positions in the past.

That just takes the irony level over 9000.

But, while it’s tempting to just clink our glasses and have a good chuckle at another lefty eaten by their own, as recent, shocking events have shown, social media pile-ons can have very real and very tragic consequences.

So, Stephen…Steve…we might not agree with most of what you say, but we don’t play the man, we play the ball. If the avalanche of hate from the people you thought were your friends gets overwhelming…we’re here for you, man.
