Avi Yemini from the Rebel Media is currently in Hong Kong seeing up close and personal what fighting for democracy looks like. He says that he has never seen anything quite like it before. In his e-mail to followers he described dodging barricades and diving into enormous gatherings of pro-freedom protesters as “an exhilarating and emotional experience” and one he will never forget.

I’ve been here for three days — I’m here for one more — and I think I’ve got to the bottom of what’s going on: The Hong Kong people are literally crying out for liberty from the tyranny of China

I even bumped into Albert Ho, former chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic Party — he told me something quite alarming about the disproportionate use of “violence” by the police.

And with the Chinese army amassing by the thousands in Shenzhen on the boundary with Hong Kong, Albert also spoke out, urging Trump to warn China not to use “violence in Hong Kong causing bloodshed”.

In the video, Albert Ho the former chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic party said that “this is going to be a long-term struggle” for the people of Hong Kong.

More new media outlets like the Rebel Media need to stand with the people of Hong Kong and tell the world about their brave fight for basic human rights.
