Suella Braverman, Ex Home Secretary published her letter of response to having been sacked by Rishi Sunak yesterday. It contained many home truths and resonated with the electorate. It confirmed what many people have been thinking about Sunak and I make no apologies for inserting Braverman’s letter in full below. It is almost a work of art, and sticks the knife into Sunak, twists it, pulls it out and sticks it in again, twists it and plunges it in time and time again.
The problem for Sunak is that he is pushing away the new voters in the North in the hope of retaining traditional Conservative voters in the South. All he had to do was show leadership and project a vision that the electorate could hold onto, but he came across as wimpish and blew it.
