As BFD readers will be aware, PM Jacinda Ardern recently implored the Taliban to respect women. Her government also forked out a cool few million in taxpayers’ money to Afghanistan.

But it seems that the Taliban are likely to give up their misogynistic cruelty some time after another beneficiary of Ardern’s largesse, the Mongrel Mob, give up dealing meth.

According to former judge and women’s rights advocate Najla Ayoubi, Taliban members set a local woman on fire after they decided her cooking was unacceptable.

C’mon now, guys: aren’t you listening to Jacinda? She “implored” you. Implored!

Ayoubi described developing conditions across the country as a “nightmare.”

“There are so many young women … in the past few weeks being shipped into neighboring countries in coffins to be used as sex slaves,” she said.

Last week, Neon Nettle reported the Taliban were going “going door-to-door” and abducting girls as young as 12 years old to become “sex slaves” for jihadi fighters.

Somehow, that doesn’t seem to chime with Ardern’s call for the Taliban to uphold human rights.

With an uncharacteristic display of understatement, Ardern noted that basic human rights “are things that have traditionally not been available to them where there has been governance by Taliban”.

Still, the Taliban did promise Jacinda that they’d honour women’s rights “within the framework of Islamic law”. They’re being true to their word, it seems.

Ayoubi said […] “They also force families to marry their young daughters to Taliban fighters”[…]

Last week, an Afgan woman who failed to wear her burqa was shot and killed by Taliban fighters just hours after the terrorist group promised to honor “women’s rights.”

Well, Jacinda did want to see “women and girls being able to access work and education”. I’d say they’re getting a pretty harsh lesson in Sharia, and the kind of work they’ll be allotted under the Taliban, right now.

But still, Ardern does seem to have the Taliban’s ear. After all, they quite specifically singled out New Zealand’s government for praise, for handing them some much-needed cash.

Maybe Ardern just needs to don a hijab and pose for huggy selfies with Taliban fighters in Kandahar.

That ought to do the trick, surely?
