A man’s donkey falls into a deep hole. He can’t get it out no matter how hard he tries so he decides to bury it alive as that will be a quicker death than dying of thirst.
Soil is poured onto the donkey from above. The donkey feels the load, shakes it off, and steps on it. More soil is poured.
It shakes it off and steps up. The more dirt is tossed onto him the higher he rose. Soon the donkey was grazing in green pastures having rescued himself.
