Mark Steyn once observed that Barrack Obama may not be a secret Muslim – but if he was, what would he have done differently, anyway?
After all, Obama, Steyn said, was happy to make the most grossly offensive generalisations about Christians but refused to do the same about Muslims. He also honoured a deserter who wrote, “I hate America”, in the Rose Garden, prefaced by a prayer in Arabic.
Worse, as Foreign Policy magazine noted, Obama betrayed America’s allies and crawled to its enemies. Most egregiously, when he secretly flew pallet-loads of more than a billion dollars in US taxpayers’ cash to Tehran in the dead of night.
But Obama’s treachery ran even deeper – and is symptomatic of the wider, treasonous agenda of the Democratic party.
President Barack Obama’s administration reportedly warned Iranian leadership five years ago about an impending assassination attempt against Qassemi Soleimani, the Iranian military commander killed in a U.S. air strike last week.
Citing a report from Al-Jariya, a Kuwaiti daily newspaper, Israeli news outlet Haaretz reported in January of last year that Israel was “on the verge” of assassinating Soleimani in 2015.
According to Al-Jariya, the U.S. “thwarted” Israel’s attempt on Soleimani’s life by “revealing that Israel was closely tracking the Iranian general.”

Soleimani was left free to carry on his career of terrorism, including attacks on Americans, for another four years, thanks to Obama.
But that’s just the beginning of the Democrats’ strange affection for Iran.
Sen. Richard Durbin (D., Ill.) and other top Democrats lashed out at the Trump administration over its efforts to isolate the Iranian regime, claiming in talking points that mirror those from Iranian leadership that President Donald Trump and his national security team are “itching for a confrontation with Iran.”

The usual honking Democrats were steering the clown car, as well: Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders both fiercely criticised the perfectly legal decision to off Soleimani, a known sponsor of terrorism, directly responsible for hundreds of American deaths. Not to be outdone, socialist ninny Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez screeched about “war crimes”. Another Democrat blamed Trump for the Ukrainian plane crash in Iran (it may well have been shot down accidentally by Iran). The Democrats’ celebrity cheer-squad was even worse, openly sympathising with Iran at the same time they castigated America.
The odious Nancy Pelosi whined that the strike “was taken without the consultation of the Congress”. Trump was under no requirement to do so, and acted perfectly legally, as constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz points out. Besides, one must ask, did Pelosi ever similarly complain when Obama was slinging drones around the Middle East with gay abandon?
In fact, the Democrats are so determined to side with Iran rather than their own country, they’re trying to prevent the president from acting at all without their say-so.
Congress has passed a largely symbolic measure opposing further military force against Iran without Congressional authorisation, a day after both Washington and Tehran appeared to back away from military conflict.

Never mind that Trump was in fact authorised to take the action that he did, or that Iran has thrown in its hand. As the left used to sing: “which side are you on?” They’re making sure the mullahs in Tehran know exactly whose side they’re on.
Just in case there was any doubt where they stand, Democrat star and notorious anti-Semite Ilhan Omar, showed exactly what she thinks of American lives sacrificed in the middle east.
Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) laughed and giggled during a press conference on Wednesday while her colleague, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), discussed U.S. casualties from the Iraq war.
