The British Labour party was accused yesterday of failing to act on sexual harassment allegations. This is completely ironic given that our very own NZ Labour party have been accused of exactly the same failure this week.

Outgoing Labour MP John Mann has accused the Labour Party of failing to act on “a number of occasions” on issues of sexual harassment “and worse”.

The parallels are disturbing as they point to a culture of silence within both Labour parties.

I have read a number of articles where the point has been made that there is more danger to women from male feminists than there is from traditional conservative thinking males. Some male feminists talk the talk but can be highly manipulative and controlling. Just as paedophiles try to get access to children, some men use their so-called male feminism as a cover to get themselves access to young unsuspecting females. It can then be highly confusing for the women when they are preyed on by a man who spouts all the left-wing ‘progressive’ dogma yet who is verbally and later physically abusive of them.

Mr Mann made the allegations on the Mike Graham show, claiming Labour had only “acted on the side of those accused”.

[…] I can tell you for a fact – on a number of occasions he [Jeremy Corbyn] has failed to act on issues of sexual harassment and worse,

[…] a party spokesperson said: “This is baseless. The Labour Party takes all allegations of sexual harassment extremely seriously and aims to lead the political field in the way such allegations are handled.

Where have we all heard this before? Always investigations are launched and no one can say anything until they hear back from a QC or an investigative group and it is all just a lot of noise and it all gets swept under the carpet.

Our Labour party have no excuse for not having handled the second sex scandal (since they have been in government) correctly. Ardern talked about how unhappy she was with how things were handled and how proper processes were being put in place and an investigation was being done etc during the Young Labour camp sex scandal, and yet they have now supposedly dropped the ball again. The first time they failed 4 victims, but this time media have reported that there have been up to 12 or so alleged victims of this one alleged sex pest.

Mr Mann is set to step down as Labour MP to take on a new role as a government adviser on antisemitism.

But he said he had “no regret” in quitting his party to do so, and gave a scathing review of Mr Corbyn’s handling of the issue.

He’s an enabler of the antisemitism that has grown in the country – he’s the enabler of it – he’s calculatedly, deliberately refused to act.

“Despite the horrendous stuff that Jewish MPs, Jewish Labour MPs have received day in day out, he’s not acted, he’s not a leader.”

Here in New Zealand it is the co-leaders of the Green party who have failed to act on anti-semitism within their own party. This is a dark side of the left that needs more sunlight. It can be no coincidence that what is happening in Britain is also happening here in New Zealand.
