Arturo Fuente Especiales – Conquistador’s
Budget friendly oversized-cigar from the Fuente’s
This is a $36 cigar, 5 1/2″ by 56 and box-pressed; wrapped in that famously Fuente Cameroon wrapper, but it utilises mixed filler from the high-end Fuente’s rolled at the factory.
Never had one burn badly, great enjoyable meaty cigar
Foundation Cigars – Charter Oak Rothschild
Available in either Connecticut Shade or Connecticut Broadleaf
Another $36 cigar, this Rothschild (4 1/2″ by 50) is a masterpiece blended by Nicholas Melillo that pays homage to his U.S. Connecticut tobacco roots.
This cigar has a 93-point (outstanding) rating by Cigar Aficionado and took at the Best Buys of 2018 title!
Viaje 2019 Limited Edition C-4
They don’t get much rarer than Viaje – we scored a box of C-4 explosives for HEMINGWAY and we’re putting the balance up for sale…
Best get some before Grant changes his mind and takes the lot…
This is the first time since 2016 that the C-4 has been re-released; it is a Nicaraguan Puro (all Nicaraguan tobaccos) and is dressed in a dark, Nicaraguan Corojo Maduro leaf… grab some, they’re not going to last long sadly.
Drew Estate Liga Undercrown Gran Toro
Or Undercrown Maduro as some call it
The story goes… to try to cut their losses on the rollers all smoking Liga Privada’s for personal consumption; they sourced slightly more affordable tobacco and blended “the next best thing”…
And it worked, the rollers loved the new Liga Undercrown they happily started smoking them and letting the rest of the world buy some Liga Privada’s.
The Gran Toro is a personal favourite of mine; it’s a great movie-length cigar and so tasty!
Kenner 1972 cigars – I see Grant has taken 10 more for his stash, probably an indication of how good they are aging…
It is the perks of many contacts in the industry that Grant was allowed to buy these many years ago; the only person outside of a single brick & mortar retailer in the USA to get them… check them out
