It was two years ago that Jim Goad warned us to “expect a lot of crying” as the intolerant nuttiness of transgender ideology foisted itself on women’s sport like an uninvited penis in the girls’ locker room.
And so it has come to pass. A bunch of American high school girls have noticed that a couple of biological males who utterly failed to make a dent in the boys’ competitions have grown their hair, put on dresses and proceeded to wallop the girls in their own competition. Not unnaturally, the girls aren’t too happy about that.
A female high school athlete who didn’t qualify for a track event because two boys who identify as girls ran faster filed a complaint Monday with the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
If my own experience, not to mention that of other people, from feminists to academics, is anything to go by, this is one very brave girl. She is almost certainly about to endure an avalanche of vilification, abuse and death threats. Hell hath no fury like a tranny questioned. It’s Ma’am!

Selina competes in track at Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Connecticut. She wasn’t able to qualify for the 55-meter event in the New England regionals because two spots were taken by biological boys, as The Daily Signal’s Kelsey Bolar documented in a recent video report on the 16-year-old’s situation.
She is far from the only female athlete disadvantaged by policies that allow transgender girls to compete with biological girls, Selina told Carlson on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“I haven’t been the only one affected by this,” she said. “There have been countless other female athletes in the state of Connecticut, as well as my entire indoor track team. We missed out on winning the state open championship because of the team that the transgender athlete was on.”
As in so many other areas, transgender ideology is deeply inimical to the rights of women and girls. Female prisoners are being forced to share lockups with intact, biological male rapists. Girl guides are forced to share cabins and showers with biological males with fully-functioning, teenage-hormonal penises. Under “self-identification” laws, any bloke with a full set of tackle can decide on a whim that he’s as feminine as Audrey Hepburn and swan right on into the ladies’ change room.
If the two boys who identify as girls had not been allowed to compete as girls, Selina says, she would have placed sixth and had the opportunity to run the 55 in front of college coaches at the New England regionals.
Her complaint, according to a press release from Alliance Defending Freedom, asks the Education Department “to investigate illegal discrimination against the Connecticut athletes,” including Selina.
Since the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference implemented a protocol “that allows biological males who claim a female identity to compete in girls’ athletic events,” the complaint says, “boys have consistently deprived [Selina] Soule and the other female athletes of honors and opportunities to compete at elite levels.”
“Girls like Selina should never be forced to be spectators in their own sports, but, unfortunately, that is exactly what is taking place when you allow biological males to compete in sports that have been set aside and specifically designed for women like Selina,” Holcomb said.

Just as anyone whose brain isn’t entirely addled by the Marxist lunacy of transgenderism could see exactly what would happen when biological male rapists were incarcerated with female prisoners, anyone could see that allowing biological males into female sports was going to marginalise actual women. Certainly there are the exceedingly rare and tragically difficult cases like Caster Semenya, who is genuinely intersex and whose problems are no fault of her own. But she is the exception which proves the rule.
Cases like these demonstrate the tragic fact that transgender dogma – which must be distinguished from transsexualism and transvestism – is a damaging ideology that poses as “compassion” but in fact causes untold harm to all concerned.
