I’m currently reading a fascinating history book: Young Nelsons: Boy sailors during the Napoleonic Wars. It’s astonishing to read of boys of ten, 12 and 13 not only going to sea with the Navy, but fighting with distinction in some of the greatest battles of their time.
While obviously none of us would remotely consider a return to sending child soldiers into battle, it’s still sobering to reflect on what Britain once expected of its men, even before they were men. And what, more importantly, they were fully prepared to do: one 12 year old whose ship was ordered away from the fleet days before Trafalgar grumbled, “Not to have been in it is enough to make one mad”.
And then to compare the exploits of the “Young Nelsons” to the snowflake young adults of today, reduced to screaming tantrums merely by the wrong pronouns.
What has happened — or been done — to us?
Anyone whose eyes are open can clearly see that for the last few decades we have been living through the slow-motion demolition of Western civilisation […]
Our globalist political and cultural elites are engaged in dismantling the foundations of everything we hold dear. Every aspect of how we understand and engage with the world and find meaning from it is under relentless attack, from the concept of the nation state with defined borders, to the food we eat, to our hard-won cultural inheritance of open debate and free enquiry, even the very basic biological reality that human beings are a dimorphic species consisting of men and women is not just deemed factually incorrect but to utter so is considered a form of hate crime.
No-one would argue that Western civilisation was ever perfect, but, like democracy, it was once immeasurably superior to all the others that had been tried. Yet, now even the very notion that one culture might be superior to another is “hate speech”. Unless, of course, it’s a non-Western culture. We’re all supposed to pretend that, for instance, a literally Stone Aged culture which practised slavery, genocide, and cannibalism well into modern times, is somehow superior to the culture which abolished slavery, invented women’s emancipation, universal suffrage, science and the very concept of human rights.
All of which is being systematically torn down.
The nation state as most Westerners understand it is being dismantled deliberately via divisive identity politics and unrestrained immigration. For any nation state to endure there has to be a collective identity to which people feel they belong. That doesn’t have to be entirely based on ethnicity, but it must be forged from a common culture […]
Instead, in recent decades, we have embraced unsustainable levels of immigration, much of it from culturally incompatible Muslim countries, which makes integration difficult if not impossible. Of course, there are many decent individual Muslims who do integrate, but I’m talking about the overall trend.
Yet, even to question the wisdom of open borders, at a time when conservative estimates put the number of hostile jihadis in the tens of thousands and half of Britain’s near 3 million Muslims think homosexuality should be illegal, is to be branded a “Nazi”. Yet, instead of the British political, cultural and media establishment standing up to such a clearly intolerant culture in its midst, it collectively bends the knee.
The most recent example of this occurred last week at a school in Wakefield after some non-Muslim boys handled a Koran and one of them smudged and dropped it. A furore was whipped up among some in the local Muslim community which led to death threats directed at the teenage book smudgers and one of them being expelled from school. A terrified mother of one of the boys attended the local mosque dressed in a hijab to plead for forgiveness for her son. The police were also present and have recorded the book smudging as a ‘hate incident’. Why are the police and school involved in facilitating the enforcement of Islamic blasphemy law in the UK? Who decided that Britain would integrate with Islamic law?
As I’ve been outlining in the Insight series, How We Got Here, Part 3: The Long March, this was all decided for us decades ago by neo-Marxists bent on dismantling liberal democratic, capitalist “hegemony” in a “Long March through the Institutions”. The Long March is near-complete in Britain, and even further advanced in the United States.
America is a few years further down the path the critical race theorists wish us all to follow, and as you can see from the video in the tweet below their agenda couldn’t be further away from the 1960s civil rights aspiration that skin colour should be irrelevant. Thankfully, plenty of decent black Americans reject anti-white racism but, like Britain, much of the state apparatus and public sector has been ideologically captured by the critical race theorists and with the full support of the Biden administration.
Then there is the sudden onslaught of indoctrination of children into transgenderism — and much worse.
To really rub salt into the wound, while our elites would have us surrender to the enemies of civilisation within, they’re demanding yet more blood and treasure to prop up a corrupt foreign oligarchy.
The Ukraine conflict and the West’s seeming willingness to risk a nuclear war over Ukrainian ‘democracy’. This being a democracy which has banned political parties which oppose Zelensky along with media outlets that are critical of his leadership. Before the entire Western media became cheerleaders for the neo-con/liberal interventionist agenda in Ukraine they reported accurately about Ukrainian corruption.
If we end up getting vaporised in a nuclear exchange over an internecine Slavic dispute, we won’t even have the consolation that at least it was for a noble cause.

But at least we can take comfort in the fact that the bombs won’t have such patriarchal, fat-shaming names as “Fat Man”.
