Orwell was right: the totalitarian impulse is to restrict and control language so as to restrict and control thought. We see this every day in the left’s reflexive reaction to their cosy theories being proved wrong – as they inevitably are: simply change the meanings of words and thus declare themselves right all along.

A common example is “phobia”. Correct usage means an “exaggerated, usually inexplicable and illogical fear”. Phobias are also considered pathological. Yet, in left-speak, “phobia” has been reconstructed to mean any disagreement with leftist dogma. Thus, refusing to believe that a man can literally be a woman is not a matter of disagreement, but a pathological state of mind.

In the same manner, the left have tried to redefine the word “racism” to exclude any possibility of anti-white racism; indeed to make racism solely the province of whites. Thankfully, Americans (so far) are having none of it.

Americans believe blacks are more racist than whites, Hispanics and Asians in this country.

This is broadly in line with evidence which shows that majority-white nations are the least racist in the world.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 75% of American Adults think the term “racism” refers to any discrimination by people of one race against another. Just 15% say it refers only to discrimination by white people against minorities. These findings have changed little in surveys for the past several years.

Eighteen percent (18%) say most white Americans are racist. But 25% believe most black Americans are racist. Fifteen percent (15%) think most Hispanic-Americans are racist, while nearly as many (13%) say the same of most Asian-Americans.

These findings parallel surveying done in 2013, although Americans were even more likely at that time to identify blacks as the most racist group[…]

The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted July 21-22, 2020 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

The left are determined to fight such Wrongthink – because it rudely pulls the rug out from under their obsession with “anti-whiteness”.

Even worse for the left, the vast majority of Americans are not buying their attempts to shift the goalposts by redefining the clearly-understood meaning of “racism”.

Three-quarters of whites, blacks and other minorities agree that racism refers to any discrimination by people of one race against another.

Blacks see themselves, whites, Hispanics and Asians as equally racist. Whites consider themselves more racist than Hispanics and Asians in this country but less racist than blacks.

Other minority Americans view blacks as much more racist than whites, Hispanics and Asians.

It should surprise no one that the left are out of step with the minorities they so fetishise.

Democrats (21%) are more likely than Republicans (10%) and those not affiliated with either major party (12%) to see racism as referring only to discrimination by white people. Democrats see whites as the most racist group of Americans.

Proving every other groups’ apparent suspicion about black racism, almost half of black Americans confess to being black supremacists.

Given a choice between black lives matter and all lives matter, 44% of blacks – and 30% of all voters – say black lives matter more.

BLM is indeed the Klan With A Tan.
