If there’s any doubt that we live in a Clown World run by the very worst people imaginable, consider the following:
A global Human Rights Council run by nations like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, China and Egypt. China, a regime notorious for using dissidents as organ farms, and currently pursuing a genocide against its own ethnic minorities, accusing anyone else of “human rights violations”.
China, where Africans are openly banned from public restaurants, crying crocodile tears over “abuses against Africans and people of African descent”.
Australia was at the forefront of moves overnight to convince African countries to drop demands at the UN Human Rights Council for a resolution calling for an inquiry into police brutality and racism in the US.
A draft resolution, backed by China, would have asked the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights to examine “alleged violations of international human rights law and abuses against Africans and people of African descent in the United States of America and other parts of the world”.
But late on Thursday, UNHRC members were edging closer to a compromise motion that would acknowledge the death of African-American man George Floyd and call for the commissioner to look at racism internationally.
It would not specifically request an inquiry into the US.
It doesn’t take much to get valorised by the UN these days, does it? An ignorant, spoiled Swedish brat throwing tantrums, or a black criminal thug who had the misfortune to run into a power-happy cop.
And naturally, “Human Rights” organisations never, ever criticise the most brutal regimes in the world.
Human Rights Watch’s Australian director, Elaine Pearson, said Australia has been “hardline and unhelpful in the negotiations”[…]
“The death of George Floyd was not an isolated incident but the latest in a long history of killings of black people by police in the US with little or no accountability.
Which is all a concatenation of lies, of course. George Floyd’s death, as one of the 0.2% of killings of unarmed black men by police, is very much an extremely isolated incident. The fact that the officers involved have all been charged is proof positive of accountability.
“HRC resolutions mention countries all the time by name.”
Well, that at least is true: usually that country is Israel.
Not China. Not Saudi Arabia. Not Pakistan, Indonesia, North Korea, Iran, Turkey, Nigeria or Venezuela: all the countries with the worst human rights records in the world.
This is, of course, just another front in China’s New Cold War onslaught against the West – an onslaught aided and abetted by lickspittle globalists like the UN.
The Trump administration showed the sort of boldness that is sorely needed in the West when it decided to defund the WHO. Now, it needs to finish the job: defund the UN and kick it out of its New York headquarters. Why should America play host any longer to its implacable enemies – and the enemies of freedom and democracy itself?
