So, it looks like Justin Trudeau really is a closet, alt-right racist, after all.
I’m not referring to the blackface shenanigans which have generated so much meme gold over the past week. That was just childish nonsense that no-one in their right mind should really be bothered about, except insofar as it exposes the “woke” left’s blinding hypocrisy.
No, what I’m talking about is Trudeau’s immigration policy. As everyone knows, anything less than throwing your country’s borders wide open to the mendicant refuse of the Third World is just the sort of thing the Nazis did. Trudeau’s immigration policy is so far-right, fascist that he might as well be building a big wall along the US-Canada border.
As the 2019 election nears and the [Trudeau Liberals] face a possible first-term defeat, they have made an interesting u-turn.
In their most recent omnibus budget bill, tucked away on page 392, are a series of changes to the Immigration and Refugee Act, which in effect, go against the same aggressive rhetoric that the party put forward in the past.
The largest change involves no longer accepting the asylum claims of individuals who have already applied, been approved, or have been rejected in other countries. It went even further than just reducing claims from the American border, as the policy would apply to claimants on our soil as well as abroad.
Now, to a normal person, that might seem like sound border-protection policy. But the Liberals are not normal people. Like the rest of their lefty chums, they’ve spent the past few years gibbering that border protection is nasty, racist, Nazi stuff. Justin Trudeau has been holding hands with Angela Merkel and Jacinda Ardern, proudly marching behind their “Refugees Welcome” rainbow banner.
Seems like Justin’s fallen off the open borders wagon. I wonder if Ardern will giggle that “He’s not as black in real-life”?

Until this bill, Liberals seemingly relished any opposition questioning of the rapidly destabilizing refugee arrivals, which they gleefully used as a chance to fear-monger and paint their opponents as alt-right racists, who have no place in Canada.
When Michelle Rempel brought up early issues with the Safe Third Country agreement, Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen responded by claiming Conservatives want to “militarize” the border with the United States in an attempt to stop the tens of thousands of asylum seekers who enter Canada between official points of entry.
Even now, the Liberals are road-testing campaign attacks mostly based on describing their opposition as alt-right, this time making sure to conveniently keep refugees out of the discussion.
The point is not that this is bad policy, because it isn’t. It’s perfectly sound policy, very much in line with the sort of robust border-protection regime Australia’s conservative governments have put in place.
And there’s the point: Australia has been demonised by the left as “racist”, for its policies. Trump has been likened to Nazis. Trudeau’s Liberals have branded anyone espousing such policies as “alt-right” (which is to say, racist, white supremacists), an ugly and untrue accusation, not made any the less false or odious for its tiresome repetition.
So, when the Liberals secretively embrace the very policies they’ve demonised for so long, they have some serious explaining to do, to all concerned.
Either they now realize that they have in fact been the fear-mongerers all along, or they are just in blind and panicked damage control. Perhaps both!
