Both National and Labour are beset by problems relating to bullying, which brings the party leaders very much into focus. Jacinda Ardern has the bigger problem on two fronts. Firstly, Chris Luxon is dealing with a person’s shameful behaviour occurring more than two decades ago – student behaviour – while she is dealing with the here and now – adult behaviour. Secondly, Luxon has vast experience in dealing with staffing and employment matters whereas Ardern has virtually none. Yet again she will be found horribly wanting.

Luxon has, I think, overreacted by appointing a QC to conduct an investigation. This is, however, definitely the path Ardern should be going down but, quite predictably, she has chosen not to. This is an appalling decision that puts her lack of management skills and judgement on display for all to see.

To accusations manifestly in need of proper investigation, her response was to call a meeting of the Labour caucus. Before that was held, however, she organised a secret Zoom meeting behind MP Gaurav Sharma’s back.

No doubt, from the comfort of their own homes or electorate offices, the participants spouted their venom and consigned Dr Sharma to his fate. No doubt his accusations were vehemently denied and swept under the carpet. Job done.

Except it won’t be because, despite their decision, Dr Sharma appears not to be the sort of man to go quietly. He wants his allegations answered and these problems sorted. And rightly so.

There will be no answers and no sorting and here’s why.

Dr Sharma has exposed the DNA of the Labour Party, indeed of the political left globally. These are the nasty people, the true bullyboy types. That’s all they know. It covers for their rank incompetence.

Anybody who follows politics globally will know this. Look at Biden and the Democrats, highlighted by the disgraceful non-stop persecution of Donald Trump, followed closely by using their ideology to wreck the economy. Albanese in Australia is just starting down the indigenous divide and rule path we are on. Trudeau in Canada and the left (if they were in power) in the UK would be the same. Remember the ghastly Jeremy Corbyn?

What Dr Sharma has done is brought the everyday behaviour of Labour politicians out into the public domain for all to see. Such was the enormity of his accusations that even the NZ Herald, notwithstanding the risk of getting no more Public Journalism funding from their paymistress, published them.

The public have a right to know.

Labour is the Nasty Party. They achieve little else, but they excel at the nasty stuff.

It’s there for all to see. It’s how they behave in Select Committees. They abuse the democratic process by using their majority to obstruct fair hearings on matters they would rather not have aired. It’s how they behave regarding timeframes on submissions. If they would rather not hear from the public about legislation they have proposed, they make the timeframe short and keep the hearings short. They then have the audacity to say a proper consultation process has been followed. Three Waters is an excellent example.

This is not democracy. This is shutting people out of the democratic process. Now we find out that this is how the Labour Party operates day to day. It just took the courageous Dr Sharma to expose it.

I believe every word of what he says. Not so Kieran McAnulty. He expects us to believe Dr Sharma has gone out on a limb and risked his political career by publishing a load of tosh.

The responsibility for this unmitigated disaster starts at the top.

Ardern and her mob of dysfunctional sycophants are not interested in the best interests of the country. This was made clear to Dr Sharma by Duncan Webb. According to him, it’s the party that comes first and the country second. That tells you all you need to know regarding this disastrous Government.

Today HDPA on Newstalk ZB verbally blasted Auckland Council on their idiotic targets for cutting emissions. Heather doesn’t have time to walk or catch a bus to work. She drives so she can be home in time to read her young son a bedtime story; perhaps the make-believe one titled Auckland’s Transport Emissions Reduction Plan.

Dr Sharma has been suspended from the Labour caucus. The ultimate act of bullying. Perhaps the next make-believe story Heather could read her son might be Jacinda Ardern Is the Kindest Person in the World.
