Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

“Celluloid Heroes” is a song written by Ray Davies and first released by the The Kinks on their 1972 album “Everyone’s In Show-Biz”.

It has been covered by several acts including:

Joan Jett on her 1990 album “The Hit List”.

Bon Jovi released a live version with Ray Davies on the UK CD release of the single “Misunderstood”.

Steve Via on his 2002 album “The Elusive Light and Sound Vol 1”.

Blackmore’s Night on their 2010 album “Autumn Sky”.
