One of Ashley Bloomfield’s last public appearances has seen him refuse to rule out future lockdowns. While the rest of the world has moved on, ditching lockdowns, vaccine mandates and mask mandates, these dolts are still clinging to happy memories they have of forcing all New Zealanders into economy-smashing lockdowns.
The Government says it cannot rule out the return of lockdowns as a last resort to combat future Covid variants.
New Covid Response Minister Dr Ayesha Verrall said today that lockdowns and border closures would only be a last resort.
“All measures have to be proportionate and justified, in accordance with our laws,” she said.

Oh please, just stop it. Since when did this Labour Government give even a nanosecond of thought to our laws. The first lockdown was illegal, the Police and Armed Forces vaccine mandate was unlawful, MIQ was unlawful, and we haven’t had so much as a sorry, a soz, or anything remotely like contrition for breaking those laws.
Verrall and Dr Ashley Bloomfield are discussing the possible next stages in the pandemic.
Verrall said since the start of 2020, the virus had evolved.
“And each variant has had different characteristics.”
The minister said she’d asked Bloomfield and health officials to devise strategies to tackle possible future mutations.
“There is a lot of uncertainty and in that context having a highly prescriptive plan can actually be a liability,” the minister added.
A new “variants of concern” strategic framework has been developed, Bloomfield said.

The virus was never what it was portrayed to be; in fact, it was way less than seasonal ‘flu. As we’ve progressed the virus has indeed mutated, into a piss-weak annoyance no one except the fully vaxxed or boosted need worry about. As for us unvaccinated, we spat in the face of this virus and right now can justifiably start saying our ‘told ya so’s’.
The new plan had five scenarios outlining the severity and immune-escape characteristics of various possible variants.
A worst-case scenario would involve a highly transmissible variant also capable of evading immune responses.

If something is capable of evading immune responses that is because the constant pushing of the Pfizer vaccine has caused the destruction of immune responses. We know that this is happening right now; just look at the statistics.

A new study reveals what we’ve known for a very long time; that vaccination INCREASES the risk of a COVID-19 Infection. Additionally, infection without vaccination gives immunity:
Having two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine has been linked with negative protection against symptomatic infection with the disease, scientists say, while a previous infection without vaccination offers around 50 percent immunity, according to a study analyzing the Omicron wave in Qatar.
The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine on June 15, examined the Omicron wave in Qatar that occurred from around December 2021 to February 2022, comparing vaccination rates and immunity among more than 100,000 Omicron infected and non-infected individuals.
The authors of the study found that those who had a prior infection but no vaccination had a 46.1 and 50 percent immunity against the two subvariants of the Omicron variant, even at an interval of more than 300 days since the previous infection.
However, individuals who received two doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine but had no previous infection, were found with negative immunity against both BA.1 and BA.2 Omicron subvariants, indicating an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 than an average person.
Over six months after getting two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, immunity against any Omicron infection dropped to -3.4 percent.

While the rest of the world gets on with life, this bunch of fools in charge seem to be hankering for more of the draconian and totalitarian rules and regulations they forced on us, and only very reluctantly rolled back. Their vaccines have caused negative immunity or worse, and now they are going to use that to try and lock you down again.
If they are still talking about lockdowns it is because we are letting them think they can do it again. They must be told in no uncertain terms that it simply isn’t going to happen again.
While we are at it, we need to be more forceful with those companies that are still assiduously maintaining mask mandates. Refuse to frequent them, refuse them any succour vis-a-vis your patronage. Tear up your masks if you are still wearing them. Point blank refuse to comply. Stop fretting about what others may say or do, ignore them and move on with your life.
Lockdowns are so 2020. Everyone except the dolts in Ardern’s Government knew they didn’t work back then.
We all need to let our political masters know that we won’t tolerate mandates or vaccines and masks anymore, that we won’t tolerate lockdowns and we most certainly won’t tolerate any more trampling of our rights.
It needs to stop.
