Dear Editor

I have been a reader of The BFD since the very beginning. This year I finally become a financial member. I know – I took my time.  I have been involved in politics for over 20 years local and central and I’m finally walking away. Why you may ask? Because I have always believed that one person could make a difference and I don’t believe that anymore.

Things are changing and changing fast. The last three years have been a nightmare of change so rapid that it is impossible to keep ahead of it. In fact, it’s like being in front of an oncoming train. The feeling of powerlessness is debilitating.

There is only one thing I know that will change things now and even then it may be too late.

Unless we rise up in large numbers – marching and shouting – nothing will change.

The only thing that those in power are afraid of is the people coming after them in large numbers.

I know this because I was one of them.

Any protest that you can join to show your displeasure – do it. Don’t wait, don’t make excuses – it’s almost too late. Stand up or give up.

Regards

Burnt Out
