The Government continues to defend the indefensible and justifies their Mongrel Mob friendly policies while denying other law-abiding Kiwis the same leeway in crossing their Auckland lockdown borders.

At first, we thought there was just Sonny Fatupaito who was granted the exemption on the spurious grounds that he would help minimise the spread of COVID-19 in hard to reach communities such as gangs.

As Judith Collins pointed out, the Mongrel Mob aren’t hard to reach if you are seeking drugs.

“I keep hearing how apparently they’re a ‘hard to reach community’ – well I’ve thought of a way of doing it: you ring them up, you ask for your methamphetamine, they deliver it to you, not that hard to reach – they come to you, how about they get the jab while they’re there,” Collins said.

Then we have also found out that the guy Jacinda Ardern seems to trust, Harry Tam, has also been granted an exemption as an essential worker:

Hawke’s Bay-based Mongrel Mob life member Harry Tam was granted an essential workers exemption to travel into locked down Auckland.

Newstalk ZB can reveal Tam was given the green light to travel into the city, to encourage gang-linked unvaccinated individuals to get the jab.

It comes after it was this morning revealed that Waikato’s Mongrel Mob chapter president Sonny Fatupaito was given the same exemption.

Tam did not respond to questions when approached.

This is an outrage. This Government seems to be very, very, gang friendly and their excuses are frankly insulting. Both Jacinda Ardern and Chris Hipkins have defended giving these hardened criminals essential worker status.

Hipkins said it was important the Government does “whatever we need to do, within reason” to get a good level of co-operation from the harder-to-reach community.

He confirmed that just two essential workers’ exemptions have been given to gang leaders.

“They have been there to ensure there is co-operation with those who are doing the contract tracing, the testing and the other measures that go alongside the public health response.”

This morning, after news broke that Fatupaito was given the exemption, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern defended the decision.

“We’ve got cases in gangs, and that makes this job really hard,” she told Radio Hauraki.

Hipkins also defended the decision.

“No one’s a fan of gangs, I’m not a fan of gangs, but ultimately needs must in this situation and we need to get Covid under control.”

“If we have to bring someone into Auckland to make sure that they co-operate then that’s what we have to do.”

Meanwhile, a father whose partner is expecting triplets is locked out of Auckland and the whole of Auckland is locked away with arguably illegal internal borders preventing the movement of law abiding citizens.

It’s a disgrace. But sadly this is the sort of thing we’ve come to expect from this Government.

It won’t be too long before we start hearing chants of “Let’s Go Ardern” at stadiums around the country.

The anger against this Government is building, and the more we hear about how they are willing to bend over backwards for the gangs the louder the chants will get.
